Top-ups and bonuses

Add credits to your workspace with a top-up. Pick an amount from $10 to $1000, see the bonus tier, and pay to top up your balance.

How-to guide

Add credits to your workspace balance with a top-up. You pick a dollar amount, MaShop converts it to credits at a fixed rate, larger amounts earn a bonus, and the credits land in your balance after the payment clears. This page shows the exact amounts, the bonus tiers, and where the controls are in the workspace.

Open the top-up modal

The credits balance lives in the workspace top navigation band. Click the credits figure there to open Account settings on the Credits tab. On a phone, open the workspace menu and tap the credits entry to reach the same tab.

  1. In the workspace, click the credits balance in the top navigation band (or the credits entry in the mobile menu).
  2. Account settings opens on the Credits tab, showing your balance and a one-click recharge.
  3. Click Top up (the button is labelled "Recharger" in French) to open the top-up modal.

The modal title is "Buy credits". You set the amount, read the credit and bonus summary, then pay.

Pick an amount

The amount field takes a US dollar value. It opens at $20 by default. Four quick-amount buttons sit under the field: $20, $50, $100, and $250. Each quick button shows its bonus percentage so you can see the tier before you click. You can also type any amount in the field.

The amount is bounded. The field hint reads "Min $10", and the input enforces a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $1000. Type below or above that range and the confirm button stays disabled until the value is valid.

How credits are calculated

Every credit costs $0.01, so $1 buys 100 base credits. The amount you enter is converted to base credits, then a bonus is added on top for larger amounts. The modal shows three lines: Credits (the base), Bonus with its percentage, and Total credits with the dollar amount it is for.

Bonus tiers

The bonus depends on the amount you spend in one top-up. The tiers are fixed:

Amount (USD) Bonus
$10 to $49 0%
$50 to $99 5%
$100 to $249 10%
$250 to $499 15%
$500 to $999 20%
$1000 25%

The bonus is a percentage of the base credits, rounded to the nearest credit. Worked examples:

  • $20 buys 2,000 base credits with no bonus, for 2,000 total.
  • $50 buys 5,000 base credits plus a 5% bonus of 250, for 5,250 total.
  • $100 buys 10,000 base credits plus a 10% bonus of 1,000, for 11,000 total.
  • $1000 buys 100,000 base credits plus a 25% bonus of 25,000, for 125,000 total.

The thresholds are inclusive at the bottom of each band: $50 already earns 5%, $100 already earns 10%, and so on. Spending one dollar more to cross into the next band is what raises the rate.

Pay

The confirm button reads Pay $X, where X is your chosen amount. Click it and MaShop opens a hosted checkout in a new step. The credits are not added when you click; they are added only after the payment provider confirms the charge. This is deliberate so a browser cannot grant itself credits.

When the amount you typed and the amount that gets charged differ, the charged amount wins. The server recomputes the credits and bonus from the dollar amount alone using the same $0.01 rate and the same tier table, so the credits you receive always match the money that actually moved.

What can go wrong

  • Amount out of range. Sending less than $10 or more than $1000 is rejected with the message Amount must be between $10 and $1000. Stay inside the range and the confirm button enables.
  • Checkout could not open. If MaShop cannot start a checkout (for example, billing is not configured for your environment, or the payment provider returns an error), a toast reports the problem and no checkout opens. Try again later or contact support.
  • Too many attempts. Checkout creation is rate-limited to 10 attempts per minute from one network. Beyond that you get a "too many requests, try again in a minute" response. Wait a minute and retry.

After the top-up

Once the payment confirms, the bonus credits and the base credits both land in your balance. The Credits tab breaks your wallet down into plan credits, top-up credits, and bonus credits. Bonus credits are spent last, so the paid base is drawn down before the bonus is touched.

Top-ups are a one-time purchase, separate from a subscription. They do not expire and they do not renew. For the recurring monthly credit allowances and the difference between plan credits and top-up credits, see Plans and Credits. To set up automatic top-ups when your balance runs low, or to review your transaction history, see Manage billing.

New here?

A new account gets a small one-time trial allowance so you can try a generation before paying. When that runs out, a top-up (or a plan) is how you keep building.
