Connect WhatsApp Business

Use a WhatsApp Business connection for supported messaging tasks.

Use a business account

The WhatsApp connection is for WhatsApp Business. Open the connection flow and follow the QR or pairing-code option it offers for your business number. This is a dedicated connection; it does not require inventing an MCP server for WhatsApp.

The current connection uses a linked device and is unofficial. MaShop is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. Read the connection notice before linking your number.

Confirm the connected number before attaching messaging tasks to an agent. The connection belongs to your MaShop account and is shared by its projects and agents. The account, session and destination must match the business you intend to operate.

Test with a controlled conversation

  1. Connect the intended WhatsApp Business account and verify its status.
  2. Give the agent a clear role, response language and escalation rules.
  3. Review its available WhatsApp tools and message permissions.
  4. Use a test conversation that you control to check the behavior.
  5. Inspect the resulting message or draft and the execution history before enabling broader work.

Keep sending under control

Connecting the account does not authorize unsolicited campaigns or every outgoing message. Message actions remain subject to the configured permissions and required approvals. An incoming event does not remove those limits.

If the connection stops working, inspect its current status and reconnect through the offered flow. Do not paste pairing secrets or customer conversations into public web searches.
